MISSIONS
HELPING OTHERS & MISSIONS
(Local Community)
One of the many ways RC gives back to the society, is through its community outreach. This arm of RC takes care of the less privileged in the community by making the necessities of life available for them through various advisory teams such as the health check with the Congregational Care team and Integration and Career Advisory Team.
Hot Meal Outreach
Due to popular demand, we now run this event twice a month. It has become one of our flagship events as attendance from the community has increased on a month by month basis due to various activities planned. We feed those in need of a meal, offer haircuts and personal grooming, give toiletries and tinned or dry items of foods to attendees and clothes at times. Increasingly, we have had people from some of the neighbouring boroughs in attendance. At Christmas, we have a Festive Feast providing a hot Christmas meal during the seasonal period to those who may be homeless, unemployed, in need, and lonely.
We organise Community forums such as anti-violence, domestic violence and more.
Smile of a Woman Outreach
The aim of this project is to put a smile on a woman’s face through the donations of the Royal Women Ministry of new and unopened toiletries/money for women in need. This is usually at Christmas.
Mission to Northern Nigeria - Globally
RC supports missions and missionaries in Northern Nigeria with clothes, finances and prayers.
Shoe Box Toy charity
Royal Connections Children’s Church team up with Shoe Box Charity, which ensures that infants and children from families in need, orphanages, hospices or hospitals all over the world, know that someone cares for them at Christmas by giving them a shoebox full of goodies including toys, toiletries etc.
Support has also been offered to other charities such as Samaritans Purse, Habitation of Hope, Cancer Research UK, Richard House Hospice and more. We love to give and help others in need.
Support of Missionaries globally
We provide support to missionaries in different parts of the world through financial support, we pay school fees for some of their children, help with accommodation, training and their general wellbeing.
Compassion UK
For the past 8 years, members in RC have sponsored many children in various nations across the globe through Compassion UK.
Uganda Educate a Child project
RC has been sponsoring over a 1000 children’s education in Uganda for the past 15 years. Many of these children have now become University graduates. We are training about 70 children presently. To God be the glory. We are proud of our sponsored children.
