TRIBUTE TO PASTOR DAVID SOLA OLUDOYI (PDSO) ON THE OCCASION OF HIS 30 YEARS OF FAITHFUL PULPIT MINISTRY

With a heart full of gratitude to God and deep admiration, I joyfully celebrate my beloved brother, Pastor David Sola Oludoyi (PDSO), as he marks an extraordinary milestone,30 years of faithful, impactful, and sacrificial pulpit ministry.

As I reflect on this remarkable journey, I cannot help but remember the day I first heard that PDSO had left his medical profession to answer God's call into full-time ministry. To be honest, I thought it was a terrible decision. As a young man, I could not comprehend why anyone would walk away from such a noble, respected, and promising career. I even questioned whether he was under some form of negative influence.

However, everything changed when I personally encountered God and began to understand His ways. I came to realize that PDSO decision was not motivated by human reasoning but by divine purpose. What I once considered a sacrifice was actually an act of obedience to God's higher calling.

My own dream was simple to become a Structural Engineer. By God's grace, I achieved that ambition. Years later, during my Christian journey, my pastor informed me that I had been appointed as a pastor. My immediate response was, "Sir, I do not have a call from God." His reply shocked me: "Tosin, I have received the call on your behalf."

Confused and troubled, I immediately reached out to PDSO and shared my concerns with him. His response remains one of the most defining statements of my life:

"Oga, we have no option but to serve God and His people."

Those words carried divine weight. He encouraged me to embrace the assignment, prayed fervently for me, and strengthened my faith. Looking back today, I can confidently say that conversation became a major turning point in my life and ministry.

By God's grace, I started a church with only five people. Today, that ministry has grown to nearly one thousand worshippers and has birthed more than thirty-five parishes. Humanly speaking, many people contributed to this growth, but without doubt, PDSO's encouragement, mentorship, and unwavering support played a significant role in this journey.

Over the years, he has remained a constant source of inspiration, accountability, and fatherly guidance. Whenever he calls, he asks about the growth of the church, attendance figures, expansion plans, and the welfare of God's people. He has always regarded My parish then as an extension of the RCCG Royal Connections vision.

In fact, several of our parish names were personally inspired and given by PDSO, Which include,

One of the greatest lessons I have learned from PDSO is the ministry of grace. He does not condemn, abandon, or forsake people when they make mistakes or go through difficult seasons of life. Instead, he restores, encourages, and helps them rise again. This Christ-like attribute has deeply impacted my life and ministry.

PDSO is also a man of prayer. His commitment to prayer is not seasonal,it is a lifestyle. For more than five years, he has consistently gathered some us every Saturday night to pray. No matter how inconvenient it may be, he shows up with passion and commitment. One thing that always keeps everyone alert is that he can call anyone to lead prayers at a moment's notice! Through these prayer meetings, he has inspired many of us to cultivate a deeper and more disciplined prayer life.

Beyond his spiritual depth, PDSO is a man of vision, excellence, and uncommon capacity. He challenges people to think beyond limitations and never settle for mediocrity. He constantly pushes those around him to maximize their God-given potential.

One statement of his that continues to echo in my heart is:

"Oga, wherever you find yourself, never be a liability, be an asset."

Those words have shaped my approach to ministry, leadership, relationships, and life itself.

As a brother, mentor, leader, and servant of God, PDSO has exemplified obedience to God's call, unwavering commitment to kingdom service, and an unquenchable passion for church growth and soul-winning. His influence on my life, our family, and countless others is profound and enduring.

My dear brother, thank you for the sacrifices you have made for the Kingdom of God. Thank you for the Godly example you have consistently demonstrated in the Oludoyi family. Thank you for your prayers, encouragement, corrections, vision, and unwavering dedication to raising leaders and building God's Church.

As you celebrate this remarkable milestone of 30 years in ministry, my prayer is that the God who called you will continue to strengthen you, enlarge your territory, and increase your impact. May your latter years be far greater, more fruitful, and more glorious than the former.
